Our engagement story by Diane
Well, it isn't as exciting as some, but in my mind perfect! Very "Rachel and Diane"
So...picture it. Somerville 2009. Our friends Eric and Sharifa had been staying with us. The night they left we had some errands to run, and Rachel asked if we could just have a night for "us". We didn't finish errands until about 9pm and were exhausted. When we finally got home we ate some frozen egg rolls too quickly and then headed to bed. My head hit the pillow and I was almost out. We chatted for a minute and I started to doze. Rachel asked me to wake up. She said she had a present. I closed my eyes, and she placed a black box on my belly. I opened my eyes and then the box. I thought it was a cruel joke. I even said 'is this a cruel joke?" Rach giggled and said no, will you marry me? Of course I said yes, after i made the inappropriate joke of her buying me a Cubic Zirconia. Go me! Everyone knows the rest. See you November 7th!!!
